Carmie Prinsloo wins second SEC Freshman Runner of the Week honor



BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – For the second time this season, Carmie Prinsloo has won the SEC Freshman Runner of the Week honor. Prinsloo was the top 5,000m freshman at the Chile Pepper Festival and placed eighth overall.

Prinsloo completed the course in 17: 14.5 at Agri Park to finish third among the Razorbacks as Arkansas won the tag team title. Earlier this season, Prinsloo received the conference honor after his first run with the Razorbacks, placing fourth on the Mizzou Opener.

Arkansas is ranked No. 11 in the National Coaching Survey this week. The next race for the Razorbacks will be on October 15 at the Pre-National Invitational hosted by Florida State.
