The Poll: A Deep Dive into Tekken's Rich History
Creating this poll involved some tough decisions. For instance, King II and Armor King II have taken over from their predecessors, so we decided to exclude the originals, especially since they're no longer with us in the canon.
Then there are characters like Michelle Chang and Forest Law, who've had their own identities in the Tekken Tag Tournament games. We've included them separately to give fans a chance to vote for their favorites.
Violet presented an interesting challenge. While he's been part of the series in various forms, he's currently not an official fighter in Tekken 8. So, we've included him in the poll, recognizing his unique status as an alternate costume for Lee Chaolan.
As for guest characters, although they've been a part of the franchise since Tekken 3 with Gon, none have made a return. Still, we've included them as separate entries to gauge fan interest in seeing specific guest fighters make a comeback.
To make things clearer, we've categorized potential newcomers. There's a category for brand-new Tekken characters, and another for existing Tekken characters who've yet to be playable.
