In a recent interview, Coronation Street actress Vicky Myers, who portrays the character Lisa Swain, shared her insights into the intriguing dynamic between Lisa and her fellow police officer, Kit Green. Myers' comments offer a glimpse into the complex relationship between these two characters and the potential for future storylines.
Myers revealed that despite their differences, there is an underlying connection between Lisa and Kit. She explained, "There's a lot of unspoken chemistry between them. Despite their bickering and Lisa's position as Kit's superior, she recognizes his skills and believes in his abilities as a detective. She even admires his boldness and a hint of arrogance."
"It's fascinating to see them work together, but their sibling-like rivalry is equally entertaining. Their witty banter and ability to push each other's buttons make for great television. Yet, beneath it all, there's a deep loyalty and care between them," Myers added.
However, the peace between Lisa and Kit may be short-lived as Becky, Lisa's wife, continues to cause trouble in Weatherfield. Becky, who faked her own death, has been creating chaos and manipulating those around her. In upcoming episodes, Kit's suspicions about Becky will grow, adding more tension to the storyline.
But here's where it gets controversial... Becky's recent actions have driven a wedge between Lisa and her fiancée, Carla. As Becky's lies and manipulations escalated, she even orchestrated an attack on Costello, the person who helped her fake her death. In a recent episode, fans witnessed Carla calling it quits with Lisa, feeling overwhelmed by Becky's presence and scheming.
Myers reflected on Lisa's state of mind, saying, "She's numb, overwhelmed by everything that's happening. She still loves Becky, but her relationship with Carla was something special."
And this is the part most people miss... When asked if Lisa is aware of Becky's manipulative side, Myers revealed, "No, she has no idea. They've shared a life together, had a child, and worked side by side. Lisa knows about police corruption, but Becky's dangerous side never crossed her mind."
