Lieutenant Governor of Utah Deidre Henderson

LOGAN – Grand Cache Valley Economic Summit will bring together speakers and topics, engaging breakout sessions, informative panel discussions, networking and lunch – next Thursday, June 3rd at the Riverwoods Conference Center.

As part of KVNU’s For the People program on Wednesday, Cache Valley Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Jamie Andrus said keynote speakers included Utah Lieutenant Governor Deidre Henderson.

“And she’s going to talk about something so exciting. She is going to talk about her very first initiative which is the comeback. Maybe you want to keep this a surprise if you don’t know what a comeback is, you might have to come and listen, ”she said.

Andrus said this involved encouraging women to return to the workforce even after they’ve been away for a while.

“I have been saying for a few years that I think that many women in this state are underemployed, and in Cache Valley it may be time for women to go back to work and they might be a little worried. They went to college, they graduated, they maybe worked a few years. Then they took time to be with the family.

Other keynote speakers include Natalie Gochnour, of the David Eccles School of Business, University of Utah; Ryan Starks, general manager of business services for GOED and Michael Flynn, chief operating officer of EDC Utah.

Also expert builders, realtors to developers in Utah’s hot housing market.

The summit is available in person or virtually. Learn more at CacheChamber.com.
